Kha'Zix the Voidreaver
Mayhem's accelerated gold and experience gain lets you hit evolution points much faster than on Summoner's Rift. You get to define your playstyle early instead of waiting for a late-game power spike that might never come. The constant fighting also means enemies are frequently isolated, triggering your passive damage bonus more often than in other modes.
Evolve Q first if you want to delete isolated targets, as it increases damage and reduces the cooldown. Take evolved W first if your team needs poke, sustain, or waveclear before you can safely all-in. Evolved E is a greedy choice for reset-heavy games, but you give up early kill pressure or utility to get it.
Look for enemies who overextend or get separated from their minions during chaotic teamfights. Wait for your teammates to clear the minion wave before you engage, since nearby allies remove the isolation mark from your target. Bushes and flanks are your best tools for catching people alone before they can reposition.
It is worth taking when you are against heavy poke or when your team lacks ranged damage. The spikes apply a strong slow and heal you for a decent amount on champion hits. However, you sacrifice the raw assassination potential of evolved Q, so only take it if you need utility over burst.
Evolve E second or third once you start securing kills and need to reset through multiple enemies. The increased leap range lets you escape after a kill or chase down a fleeing target. Do not evolve it first unless you are confident you can get early resets, or you will feel weak in the early skirmishes.
Evolved R gives you a third Void Assault charge and longer stealth duration, which is great for dodging skill shots and repositioning in extended fights. Take it third in most games for the extra safety and outplay potential. You can also take it second against teams with targeted abilities or heavy burst if you need to survive longer.
Play like a poke champion early by using your W to chip enemies and heal yourself. Do not force all-ins unless you catch someone isolated and low, because your cooldowns are long without evolutions. Focus on staying healthy and stacking your passive by catching enemies in the brush.
Use Snowball to mark a target and close the gap, but do not always dash in immediately. Wait for them to burn their escape or for their teammates to peel away, then follow up with your leap. You can also use it to reposition quickly or escape over walls if the fight turns against you.
Lethality items like Hubris, Opportunity, or Axiom Arc are your core for bursting isolated targets. Axiom Arc is especially strong here because the Mayhem pace means your ultimate is up for almost every fight. Consider Edge of Night or Guardian Angel if you are getting focused down before you can reset.
Tanks are hard to burst unless they wander alone, so avoid committing your leap on them. Poke with W and look for opportunities to assassinate their backline instead. If you have to fight a tank, wait for them to be isolated and kite them while your cooldowns come back up.
Point-and-click crowd control like Pantheon, Twisted Fate, or Lissandra shuts you down before you can reset. Heavy poke teams also make it hard to stay healthy enough to engage. In these games, play more patiently, evolve W for sustain, and look for flanks instead of running straight at the enemy team.
Use your first charge to approach or reposition, then break stealth with an auto-attack or Q to trigger your passive. Save the second charge to dodge a key ability or chase if they flash away. In Mayhem's chaotic fights, use stealth to confuse enemies about your target rather than just running at them directly.
ARAM: Mayhem is almost entirely teamfighting, so do not try to split push. Instead, use the side bushes to flank and catch enemies who think they are safe near their tower. Your job is to delete a target and reset, not to siege or poke for extended periods.
Anything that increases isolation damage, ability haste, or reset potential synergizes well with your kit. Augments that add slow or burst on your first attack help you stick to targets and secure kills faster. Avoid augments that favor sustained damage or tankiness, since you are built to explode a target and get out.
