They are a top-tier engage tank because Mayhem's fast pace favors constant snowball fights. You cycle abilities quickly, forcing enemies to dodge or get run over. The tradeoff is that you rely on your team to follow up when you go in.

Start the channel from a brush or just outside enemy vision to catch them off guard. Steer around minion waves to reach the backline carries. If you miss, you often end up stranded in a bad position, so pick your line carefully.

Flash or Snowball into the enemy team and immediately channel your ultimate while they are distracted or crowd-controlled. The slow makes it hard for them to escape the full damage radius. You become vulnerable to interrupts, so wait for key enemy cooldowns before you commit.

Max Q first for sustain and objective control, since the heal helps you stay on the map through the constant fighting. E is valuable for damage and the root, but you need the tankiness from Q to survive early engages. A point in W early helps you roam and start fights.

You throw multiple snowballs that stack a slow, and the final explosion roots enemies if they have enough stacks. Use it to peel for yourself or lock down a target after you engage with W. The root duration is short, so your team needs to burst the target immediately.

Sunfire Aegis or similar tank items work best because you spend most of the fight in the middle of the enemy team. Magic resistance helps you survive long enough to get your ultimate damage off. Avoid pure damage builds, as you will get burst down before you finish your combo.

Use the health packs and your Q to sustain through the early damage. Look for an engage angle with W the moment they overextend for poke. If you cannot reach them, you lose, so you must force fights instead of waiting.

Look for effects that increase ability haste, tankiness, or healing power to keep you rolling. Movement speed bonuses make your W almost impossible to dodge. Damage-only augments are weaker on Nunu because your base kit already provides enough threat.

Track enemy crowd control abilities and engage after they use them on your teammates. You can also buy Tenacity or use abilities that grant brief crowd control immunity if available in your build. If they have too many interrupts, use your R mainly for the zone control and slow rather than the full damage.

They are primarily an engage champion, but E gives you decent peel for your carries. Use W to start fights, then use E to lock down anyone who tries to dive your backline. You generally want to force the fight forward rather than playing reactively.

Save Q for when you are low to maximize the heal and bait enemies into overcommitting. You can also use it on minions to recover health if you cannot safely reach enemy champions. Do not waste it at full health, as the cooldown matters in extended fights.

Rolling in with W without checking if the team is ready to follow up. You end up alone in the enemy backline and die for nothing. Always glance at your team's position and cooldowns before you start the snowball.

Play around your passive attack speed and Q sustain to trade evenly. Look for short engages with W where you can disengage after landing your combo. Avoid extended fights until you have enough durability to survive the burst.

Back off immediately and wait for the cooldown while using E to poke or peel. You lose most of your engage pressure without W, so play more defensively until it returns. Use the downtime to heal up with Q and look for the next opening.
