She is a high-skill scaler who becomes terrifying after level six but suffers heavily before then. You spend the early game playing like a coward, poking with Q and waiting for the passive heal. If your team lacks frontline or gets pushed to tower, you will have almost no room to operate.

Faster gold and experience means you hit your power spike sooner, but the constant fighting makes it harder to roam for resets. You often fight in the same lane for long periods, so you rely on brushes and fog of war rather than true global stealth. Use the chaos of big teamfights to slip into the backline while enemies are distracted by your allies.

Managing your Demon Shade passive is everything. You need to drop combat for a few seconds to let it activate, giving you the stealth and the massive heal that lets you re-engage. If you stand still in a bush or back off slightly during a lull, you can re-enter the fight with full health and catch people off guard.

Start charging it from maximum range or out of vision so enemies cannot react in time. A fully charged Charm shreds magic resistance, so try to hit your Q spikes and Empowered E during that window for a burst kill. Be careful: the long channel leaves you vulnerable, so do not use it point-blank unless you are cleaning up.

Use it to execute low-health targets or to dodge critical burst damage with the untargetable frames. The backwards dash is a safety tool, but many players accidentally dash away from a kill they could have secured. If you are diving the backline, save it for the moment the enemy team turns their focus on you.

Cast Q from a distance and aim for the center of the enemy group to land both the initial hit and the spikes. Do not walk up to auto-attack unless you are trading with someone who has no cooldowns. Your early damage is low and your health pool is fragile, so treat the pre-six phase as a survival mission.

Play around the edges of fights and wait for the enemy support to waste their reveal item on someone else. You can also bait the reveal by showing yourself briefly, then backing off until the effect expires. Once the enemy has no vision of you, their squishies have to play much farther back, creating space for your team.

Rush Lich Bane or a pure damage mythic to maximize your burst combo on isolated targets. You are an assassin, not a bruiser, so building tanky items usually just makes you deal no damage while still dying. If you are getting one-shot by magic burst, consider a Banshee's Veil, but otherwise stay on the offensive path.

It is miserable because you cannot heal fast enough to offset constant harass. Stay behind your minions, use the health relics, and ask your team to engage so you can flank during the chaos. If you try to walk up and trade poke, you will get chipped down and forced to back before you can do anything.

Look for anything that increases ability power, burst damage, or cooldown reduction on takedowns. Augments that add slow effects or execute damage synergize well with your kit, making it easier to land a full W charge. Avoid defensive or utility augments that do not directly increase your kill pressure.

Peel for your carries by using Charm on diving bruisers and spamming Q for sustained damage. Your resistance shred on a fully charged W helps your entire team kill a tanky target faster. You do not always have to dive the backline; sometimes the best play is killing the threat in front of you first.

Trying to force ganks or flanks when the enemy team is grouped and holding vision control. You end up walking into a trap, getting revealed, and dying before you can press R. Patience is your main weapon: wait for the enemy to commit cooldowns, then strike when they have no answers for your combo.

Use Snowball to close the gap instantly, then follow up with W and your full combo while they are surprised. It is a strong engage tool, but be careful not to Snowball into a stacked enemy team without your ultimate ready. You can also use it to escape by dashing to a minion on the side if the angle is safe.

She loves teams with strong engage tanks like Malphite or Leona who can start fights and draw attention. This lets you circle around the side and delete the enemy carries while they are focused on your frontline. If your team is four squishies with no engage, you will struggle to find clean angles all game.
