You force fights constantly, and every execute feeds your team bonus gold that snowballs the game out of control. The tradeoff is that you have very low health scaling, so one bad engage ends your streak instantly.

Start with the support gold item to maximize your income while harassing with Q. You need to proc it often, so look for Q pulls or auto attacks when enemies step up to farm. Do not start with a pure damage item, because you need the early sustain and vision control more than a small amount of attack damage.

Hold Q to threaten a hook and zone enemies off the wave, rather than firing it instantly. If you tap Q, you get a slow that helps you land a follow-up E stun or sets up a teammate's skillshot. Charging Q for the full pull is riskier, but it drags enemies under your tower or into your team for a quick kill.

Use E to engage when you have a clear path to slide through the enemy champion and stun them against a wall or minion. In Mayhem, the chaos makes it hard for enemies to track your dash, so you can catch people who overextend for poke. Save E as an escape tool if you get caught out, because Pyke has no other reliable disengage.

Dodge sideways and use W to heal up between their cooldowns, then look for an engage angle when they miss key abilities. You cannot win a poke war, so you must force a close-range fight with Q or Snowball. If you cannot engage, look for a flank while your teammates distract the enemy front line.

Keep your E ready to disengage or counter-engage when they dive onto your backline. You can peel for your carries by stunning divers with E or pulling them away with Q. Snowball is the standard choice because it gives you a reliable way to close the gap and land an E stun. You throw Snowball, fly in, and immediately E backwards to drag the enemy into your team. Some players prefer Flash for safety, but Snowball adds too much engage pressure to pass up in Mayhem.

Your R gives "Your Cut" gold to the last ally who assisted or the nearest teammate when you execute an enemy. Position yourself so a teammate is nearby when you ult, ensuring they get the bonus gold instead of it going to waste. This gold-sharing mechanic is what makes Pyke a priority pick in Mayhem's snowball-heavy environment.

He is extremely squishy and dies to burst damage if he gets crowd-controlled after engaging. Smart enemies will save their stun or knockback for your E dash, shutting down your engage before you can output damage. Play around major cooldowns and do not dive into five people unless your team can follow up immediately.

Take damage in a trade, then back off and trigger W to regenerate a portion of the damage you recently took. You heal faster when you are out of combat and near enemies, so lurk at the edge of fights to recover health.
