However, the ally heal component becomes completely useless on yourself, wasting a major portion of this Prismatic augment's value and team utility.

Avoid Laser Heal + Back to Basics

Back to Basics permanently seals your ultimate ability in exchange for increased damage, ability haste, and healing power. Laser Heal replaces a summoner spell with a channeled ability that heals and damages. The 35% increased healing from Back to Basics is nice, but losing your ultimate is a massive cost that doesn't justify taking this support-oriented augment on most champions.

Avoid Laser Heal + Slow and Steady

Slow and Steady sets your base attack speed to a static amount and prevents all attack speed bonuses from benefiting your attack rate. Laser Heal is a channeled summoner spell replacement that provides healing and damage. These augments have zero mechanical synergy, and Slow and Steady's attack speed conversion to attack damage does nothing to enhance Laser Heal's channel-based utility.

Avoid Laser Heal + Glass Cannon

Glass Cannon caps your health threshold at 70% maximum health, preventing any healing beyond that point. Laser Heal's healing counts as self-healing, meaning you can never benefit from the full heal potential of this augment. The 15% bonus true damage from Glass Cannon does not enhance Laser Heal's utility, making this a poor pairing for a support-focused augment.
