Renekton the Butcher of the Sands
He is a strong early bully who struggles to close out games if he falls behind. The mode's high gold gain accelerates his power spike, but the constant poke and disengage from ranged champions can shut him down before he gets going. You need to snowball hard early or you become a stun bot with no survivability.
Use Snowball to gap close, then dash in with Slice and Dice after the mark connects. Save your empowered W for the moment you reach a high-value target so they cannot flash away. If you engage without a plan to exit, you will get melted by the enemy team's focus fire.
Always try to engage with at least 50 Fury so you can choose an empowered ability on demand. Empowered Ruthless Predator gives a long stun and heals you, making it the default choice for trades. If you are clearing a wave, spend the Fury on empowered Dice to shred the minions and get a second dash.
Max Ruthless Predator first for the lower cooldown and higher stun duration. This lets you lock down targets more often and trades become much harder for the enemy to answer. You can put a second point into Slice and Dice at level 4 if you need the wave clear, but W is your win condition.
Pop it the moment you go in, or right before you take a burst combo. The instant health gain and Fury generation turn fights around, and the area damage adds up in messy Mayhem brawls. Do not save it for a perfect low-health moment because you might get burst down before the animation finishes.
Rush a survivability item like Sterak's Gage or Black Cleaver so you can survive the initial burst. Glass cannon builds fail because you have to walk through a wall of damage to reach anyone. Once you have one defensive item, you can add damage or more tank stats based on the enemy comp.
Play far back and let your ranged teammates absorb the pressure while you look for a Snowball connection. You cannot walk up or you will get chipped to half health before the fight starts. Wait for them to overextend or miss their key cooldowns, then force a fight on your terms.
Pick augments that give health, resistances, or ability haste so you can survive longer and stun more often. Damage augments look tempting but they do not help if you die two seconds after dashing in. Look for anything that improves your sustain or reduces your cooldowns to become a persistent threat.
Hit a minion or champion with the first dash to unlock the second one. Use the first dash to close distance or dodge a skillshot, then save the second dash to chase or escape. If you use both dashes just to reach the fight, you have no way out and the enemy will punish you.
Dive the backline and disrupt their carries with stuns and sustained damage. You force the enemy to peel for their damage dealers, which takes pressure off your own team. If their frontline is too strong, you can also peel for your carries by stunning divers who try to reach them.
Build full tank and focus on peeling for your strongest teammate. Your empowered W still provides a useful stun even when you have no damage, so use it to protect your carries. Stop trying to make hero plays because you will just get kited and killed.
Heavy disengage teams with knockbacks like Janna or Alistar are a nightmare. They can cancel your dash and leave you stranded in the middle of their team. Against these comps, wait for them to burn their peel abilities on someone else before you commit.
Always group because ARAM: Mayhem is a single-lane mode with constant teamfighting. Split pushing is not an option, so focus on finding angles to flank with Snowball. A good flank lets you bypass their frontline and reach the squishy targets who cannot escape your stun combo.
Empowered Cull the Meek heals you based on the number of enemies hit, so try to hit as many targets as possible. Use it in the middle of the enemy team or when a minion wave is nearby for extra healing. Do not hold it too long because the heal can save you in a tight spot.
