Combos

Mountain Soul + Goliath

Mountain Soul grants a massive shield every 5 seconds that scales with bonus health. Goliath provides 35% bonus health, directly increasing the shield strength while also giving adaptive force. The combination transforms any champion into a durable frontline presence that can absorb enormous amounts of burst damage in ARAM's constant teamfights.

Mountain Soul + Celestial Body

Mountain Soul's shield scales with maximum health, and Celestial Body provides 1500 bonus health at the cost of 10% damage reduction. The massive health pool makes the Mountain Soul shield significantly stronger, creating a tanky playstyle where survivability outweighs the damage penalty in extended ARAM skirmishes.

Mountain Soul + Tank Engine

Mountain Soul shields scale with maximum health, and Tank Engine grants 5% increased maximum health per takedown, stacking infinitely. As the game progresses and takedowns accumulate, both the champion's health pool and the Mountain Soul shield strength grow exponentially, creating a late-game tank powerhouse.

Mountain Soul + Courage of the Colossus

Mountain Soul triggers when damaging enemies, granting a shield that scales with health. Courage of the Colossus adds another shield when immobilizing enemies, stacking with Mountain Soul's shield. Champions with crowd control can maintain near-permanent shielding layers, making them incredibly difficult to burst down in ARAM's narrow lane.

Bad augment synergies and low-value pairings to avoid

Avoid

Avoid Mountain Soul + Omni Soul

Omni Soul grants 3 random Dragon Souls, which completely overshadows Mountain Soul's single Dragon Soul effect. Since Omni Soul already provides Mountain Soul as a possible outcome along with two others, taking Mountain Soul first is redundant and wastes an augment slot that could provide unique power instead.

Avoid Mountain Soul + Infernal Soul

Both augments grant Dragon Souls, but the game only allows one Dragon Soul per player. Mountain Soul's fallback mechanic means taking Infernal Soul afterward provides no additional benefit if Mountain Soul already granted a different soul, creating a redundant and wasteful pairing.

Avoid Mountain Soul + Ocean Soul

Ocean Soul and Mountain Soul both grant Dragon Souls, and players cannot stack multiple Dragon Souls. If Mountain Soul grants Ocean Soul as its fallback, picking Ocean Soul afterward becomes completely useless. This pairing has high redundancy risk and wastes valuable augment slots.

Avoid Mountain Soul + Hextech Soul

Hextech Soul and Mountain Soul serve the same mechanical purpose of granting a Dragon Soul. Since the fallback mechanic prevents stacking and Dragon Souls are exclusive, this pairing offers diminishing returns and conflicts with the goal of diversifying power sources in ARAM: Mayhem.
