This fundamentally removes the scaling that makes Spellblade effective, wasting both the augment's bonus damage and its maximum health-based healing which benefits from AD ratios.

Avoid Upgrade Sheen + Slow and Steady

Slow and Steady sets base attack speed to a static value and prevents all attack speed bonuses from functioning. Spellblade requires basic attacks to trigger, and being locked at 0.625 attack rate severely limits how often you can proc the empowered effect, making the upgrade significantly less valuable.

Avoid Upgrade Sheen + Back to Basics

Back to Basics seals your ultimate ability permanently, which is a massive trade-off.
