Darius the Hand of Noxus
He is a mid-tier bruiser who relies heavily on snowballing early kills to stay relevant. Mayhem's accelerated pace means he gets his ultimate cooldown refunded constantly, letting him dunk repeatedly in extended fights. However, he struggles against heavy poke or disengage comps that never let him get in range.
Use Snowball to gap close, then auto-attack immediately to start stacking your passive. You can also use Ghost to run down squishy targets if your team has enough CC to set you up. Do not engage into five people alone unless you are ahead enough to survive the initial burst.
Auto-attacks and Decimate both apply stacks, so weave abilities between hits to reach five stacks faster. Once you hit max stacks, you gain massive attack damage and heal on every attack, turning you into a raid boss. Focus one target to get the bleed rolling rather than spreading damage evenly.
Use it when you cannot safely auto-attack, but try to hit the blade rather than the handle for maximum damage and a heal. If you are already on top of someone, auto-attacks are often better because they cannot be dodged. Save Decimate to catch runners at the edge of your range.
It pulls enemies in a cone and shreds armor, making it your key tool for locking down slippery targets. Use it after Snowball connects to guarantee the pull before they can flash or dash away. The armor shred persists, so follow up with Decimate and autos on the pulled victim.
Use it on any target with enough stacks to secure a kill, since Mayhem refunds or significantly reduces cooldown on kills or takedowns. You do not always need to save it for the execute threshold if a quick reset will let you chain dunks across the enemy team. Just make sure the target is isolated or low enough that you do not waste the cooldown.
Sterak's Gage and Titanic Hydra are core for burst survivability and wave clear. Follow with tank items like Dead Man's Plate or Force of Nature depending on whether you face AD or AP damage. Avoid pure damage builds because you need to survive long enough to stack your passive.
It is solid but not always mandatory since Apprehend already shreds armor. Build it when the enemy team has multiple tanks stacking armor that your base shred cannot handle alone. If they are squishy, other bruiser items give better value.
Pick augments that boost survivability, healing, or ability haste to keep your ultimate available. Size or range increases help Apprehend catch enemies more easily. Avoid pure damage augments if you are getting burst down before you can stack your passive.
Play patient and use Snowball to dodge key abilities while closing distance. Wait for your tank or engage teammate to go in before you follow up. If you force a bad engage, you will get poked down and die without ever getting your bleed stacks.
Ghost helps you stick to targets, and Dead Man's Plate gives you a slow on your first auto to keep them close. Save Apprehend for when they use their dash or escape so you can pull them back. Without these tools, expect to get kited by mobile carries.
Dive the backline if you can reach their carries without getting peeled to death. If their frontline is isolated, you can stack your passive on them first, then turn toward the squishies with your empowered state. Adapt to which targets give you the best chance to reset your ultimate.
He has no built-in dash and relies entirely on Snowball or Ghost to get into range. Hard CC and knockbacks completely shut him down before he can stack his passive. If you fall behind early, you become a low-damage meat shield with no real threat.
Decimate heals you when it hits enemies with the blade, so aim for the outer edge whenever possible. At five passive stacks, your autos heal you on every hit, so staying in the fight is often better than backing out. Combine this with Spirit Visage or similar items to amplify all healing sources.
Get early takedowns to stack gold and items, then use your reset potential to chain ults in teamfights. Force extended fights where your passive can ramp up rather than quick trades where you get burst and die. If you reach late game even or ahead, your sustained damage and execute pressure make you a major threat.
