Targets Xayah Punishes

  • Jinx — She hates walking into a lane where Xayah already has feathers spread out. If Jinx steps forward to hit front line or chase a reset, Xayah can punish the commit with a root and force her to burn Flash or die. The danger window is when Jinx is trying to auto from the edge of the fight. The risk boundary is simple: if Xayah throws feathers early and misses the return angle, Jinx can kite back and keep firing. The damage-control action is to hold Featherstorm for the moment Jinx commits, then retreat behind your own front line instead of chasing the reset.
  • Kog'Maw — He is strong when he gets to sit still and free-hit, but that is exactly what Xayah punishes if he is ever left without a bodyguard. Xayah can turn a front-to-back fight into a trap by forcing him to walk through feather lines to keep range. The danger window opens when Kog'Maw steps up for poke or tries to clean up after the first trade. If he has peel ready, do not overstay in open ground. The recovery plan is to take a short trade, back off, and wait until his protectors move first before you commit feathers.
  • Xerath — He is vulnerable when he stops moving to cast and Xayah can read the angle of his poke. If he stays on the same side of the lane too long, feather placement turns his safe distance into a liability. The danger window is after he spends his burst and needs to stand still again to threaten another spell. The risk boundary is getting chipped down before you ever enter root range. The damage-control action is to side-step the poke, save Featherstorm for the moment he cannot reposition, and only all-in once his main damage cycle is already used.
  • Vel'Koz — He likes long, straight fights, which gives Xayah a clean punish if he is not protected. Once he commits to a cast pattern, feather zones can cut off the retreat path and make him pay for standing near the same lane line. The danger window is when he is trying to layer damage from one fixed spot. If he keeps enough space and tracks your feathers, the punish gets much harder. Your damage-control action is to avoid predictable movement, break his line of sight with your frontline, and save the root for when he has no clean exit.
  • Jhin — He is strongest when he gets to shoot from a stable angle, but that also makes him easy to pin if Xayah forces a close fight. He cannot afford to misstep into feathers while reloading or lining up his shots, and that is where she flips the trade. The danger window is after he uses his long-range tools and needs to reposition for another clean volley. The risk boundary is getting baited into taking his burst before you can answer. The damage-control action is to play a little lower, wait for him to burn his setup, then punish the recovery step with a root and full commit.

Threats That Punish Xayah

  • Malphite — He punishes Xayah by forcing her to spend Featherstorm defensively instead of using it to set a kill. His engage is dangerous because it breaks her spacing in one move and often starts the fight on his terms. The danger window is when he is holding pressure and Xayah is standing slightly forward without backup. The risk boundary is trying to greed for feathers after he has already shown engage range. The damage-control action is to stay near peel, keep your ultimate for the first hard commit, and let your team hit him while he crashes in.
  • Leona — She punishes Xayah with point-and-click lockdown that does not care much about clever footwork. If Leona lands first contact, Xayah usually has to answer immediately or give up the trade. The danger window is whenever Xayah walks up to auto without vision on Leona’s angle. The risk boundary is standing far enough forward that one engage chains into the next. The damage-control action is to keep feathers between you and her, hold ultimate until she actually commits, and retreat toward teammates instead of dueling her in open space.
  • Nautilus — His threat is direct. One clean catch can pin Xayah long enough for the rest of the team to finish the job. He is especially dangerous when Xayah is focused on poking and not watching the side of the fight. The danger window is after he closes distance and before she can reset her position. The risk boundary is trying to win a damage race after you have already been grabbed into bad terrain. The damage-control action is to play behind a bodyguard, keep a feather wall ready, and use Featherstorm only when his crowd control actually lands.
  • Xerath — He is a threat when Xayah has to cross open ground with no cover. His poke punishes her shorter range and slowly strips away the health she needs to threaten an all-in. The danger window is the approach phase, before Xayah gets close enough to force a real fight. The risk boundary is taking repeated chip damage just to stand in auto range. The damage-control action is to approach from behind teammates, reset after each short trade, and force him to choose between mana spent on poke and safety from your feathers.
  • Ziggs — He punishes Xayah by controlling the space she needs to set up feathers. If he keeps the wave or fight area messy, she cannot always walk forward long enough to create a clean root line. The danger window is when Xayah tries to fight through his zone control without first dodging the initial poke. The risk boundary is getting whittled down before she reaches a meaningful commit. The damage-control action is to wait for his key poke to miss, then step in fast, force a short trade, and back out before he can reset the distance.
