Early Game: Levels 1–6
Position near the front of your wave but stay angled. You want to threaten Noxious Poison on anyone walking up to clear, but you cannot afford to eat poke for free. Use the width of the bridge. If they hide behind minions, land Miasma on the melee line so they choose between eating damage or losing farm space.
Your trading rhythm is simple: land one Noxious Poison, then auto-attack or chase with Twin Fang if you have it. Do not hard-commit without mana. Early levels drain you fast. If you miss Noxious Poison, back off and reset the cycle. Do not chase into their wave just to force a Twin Fang.
Use Snowball mostly as a dodge or a threat marker. Mark a squishy target. If they walk up, you can Snowball in, Petrifying Gaze, and burst. If you do not have ult, hold Snowball to sidestep key skillshots. Do not use it for pure poke.
Augments at this stage usually help you sustain or poke. If you got an early power spike, push the wave and chip the tower. If your augment is defensive or scaling, clear the wave and stall. Do not dive early unless your team has heavy CC.
- Ahead: Push them under tower, land Noxious Poison on the caster line, and force bad recalls.
- Behind: Give up wave control, stay in experience range, and look for a Petrifying Gaze angle if they dive.
- Next move: Hit level 6, check your mana, and look for a kill angle with Petrifying Gaze.
Mid Game: Levels 7–11
Now you have points in Twin Fang and your ult is up. Position slightly behind your frontline or side-by-side with your main poke champion. You are not a dedicated poke mage, but your sustained damage is high. If a target is poisoned, you can machine-gun Twin Fang on cooldown.
Your poke rhythm shifts. Noxious Poison is still the setup, but now you look for Miasma to zone off their engage. Drop Miasma on the path their tanks want to take. If they walk through it, you get free damage. If they go around, they waste time.
Snowball becomes a kill confirm tool. Mark a target that has been poked down. Snowball in, Petrifying Gaze, then Miasma under their feet and Twin Fang to finish. If they have dashes, save Petrifying Gaze for their escape. Do not ult into a dash that is already in progress.
Augments should be online. If you have damage amps, force fights. If you have sustain or shields, play for extended trades. You win long fights. Do not burst and retreat like a pure poke mage. Stay in range and keep outputting damage.
- Ahead: Push with your team, siege the inhibitor tower, and zone enemies off the wave with Miasma.
- Behind: Clear the wave with Noxious Poison and Miasma, do not walk up for Twin Fang range, and look for a defensive Petrifying Gaze if they dive.
- Next move: Group for the inhibitor fight, track their dash cooldowns, and set up a Petrifying Gaze zone.
Late Game: Levels 12+
You are a sustained damage carry with a game-changing ult. Position in the middle or back of your team. Do not get caught out. If you die before using Petrifying Gaze, your team loses a major tool. Stay near cover so you can sidestep poke.
Your trading rhythm is constant. Keep Noxious Poison on the frontline. If their tanks walk up, poison them and shred with Twin Fang. If their backline is in range, switch focus. You do not need to one-shot anyone. You just need to keep outputting damage.
Miasma is your main zone tool. Drop it on choke points, on the inhibitor platform, or on the path between towers. If they want to engage, they have to walk through it. Use it to slow their approach and force bad angles.
Snowball is for repositioning or finishing low targets. Do not Snowball into their team unless you have a clear Petrifying Gaze angle and your team is ready to follow. Using Snowball to start a late-game fight is risky. Using it to dodge a critical skillshot or chase a runner is better.
Augments at this stage define your role. If you have defensive augments, you can frontline for a few seconds. If you have offensive augments, you melt anyone you touch. Adjust your position based on what you have.
- Ahead: Siege the nexus towers, zone with Miasma, and force them to fight in your Petrifying Gaze zone.
- Behind: Defend from the nexus platform, use Miasma to slow their approach, and hold Petrifying Gaze for their dive.
- Next move: Set up for the final fight, track their key dash or CC, and be ready to ult the moment they commit.
Core Reminders
Always land Noxious Poison before you commit Twin Fang resources. Do not waste mana on unpoisoned targets. Use Miasma to control space, not just for damage. Petrifying Gaze is your biggest swing. Do not throw it out randomly. Face your target, wait for them to look at you, and fire. If you miss, play safe until it is back.
