Team Synergy

LeBlanc in Mayhem ARAM operates as a burst-assassin and chain-CC engine. She does not want to grind down tanks or poke forever; she wants to delete a target or lock them down so her team can follow up. Because her damage is front-loaded and her safety comes from distortion resets, she pairs best with teammates who can either set up her chain or capitalize on the chaos she creates. She struggles if her team lacks reliable lockdown or if the enemy has too much instant crowd-control to stop her W-in.

Core Teammate Needs

  • Hard Engagement: LeBlanc excels at following up, not initiating into five people. She needs a Malphite, Zac, or Rell to start the fight so she can W in onto a stunned target.
  • Reliable Hard CC: Her E (Ethereal Chains) is a skillshot with a travel time and a tether duration. Teammates with point-and-click stuns or instant knockups make landing that chain almost guaranteed.
  • Anti-Peel: If the enemy team stacks Lulu, Janna, or Soraka, LeBlanc needs an ally with Grievous Wounds or a dive buddy who forces the supports to look away from her.

Top Synergy Pairings

  1. Morgana (High Value)

Synergy Mechanism: Morgana’s Dark Binding (Q) holds enemies still for an eternity. LeBlanc can cast her E on a target already rooted by Morgana, guaranteeing the tether snaps and triggers the root. Morgana’s Black Shield (E) also covers LeBlanc’s biggest weakness: getting instantly crowd-controlled the moment she dashes in.

Combo: Morgana lands Q. LeBlanc W–E–Q the rooted target. If the enemy survives, Morgana ults to keep them near LeBlanc’s clone.

Best Scenario: Picking off a squishy carry who steps slightly out of position. The chain-CC duration is often long enough to kill a target twice over.

Enemy Answer: Quicksilver Sash or Gangplank Remove Scurvy to break the initial root. Tanks body-blocking Morgana Q.

Failure Risk: If Morgana misses her binding, LeBlanc has to use her W aggressively without a setup, which is risky. If the shield is down, LeBlanc gets stunned and dies instantly.

Recovery: LeBlanc should hold her W2 return ready. If the engage goes bad, she clicks back to her starting pad while Morgana uses Tormented Shadow to zone pursuers.

  2. Malphite (High Value)

Synergy Mechanism: Malphite provides the "go button" that LeBlanc lacks. His Unstoppable Force (R) creates an instant knockup on multiple targets, denying them any chance to flash or dash away before LeBlanc lands her full combo.

Combo: Malphite R onto the enemy backline. LeBlanc follows immediately with W–Q–E onto the knocked-up carry. The timing is forgiving because the targets are airborne and cannot dodge the chain.

Best Scenario: Enemy team groups tightly or stands behind a tank. Malphite collapses their formation, and LeBlanc cleans up the disrupted backline.

Enemy Answer: Supports like Lulu or Janna using ultimates to disengage after the knockup ends. Zhonya’s Hourglass on the primary target.

Failure Risk: Malphite engages too deep without LeBlanc in range to follow up. LeBlanc gets isolated if she goes in after Malphite dies instantly.

Recovery: LeBlanc uses her clone to body-block skillshots while waiting for her W cooldown to reset. She shifts to a kiting playstyle, using Q and E from max range until Malphite is alive again.

  3. Veigar (Medium-High Value)

Synergy Mechanism: This is a "kill zone" synergy. Veigar’s Event Horizon (E) creates a stun cage. LeBlanc can dash into the cage, burst a target, and dash out before the stun ends, or she can chain her E to keep the enemy inside the cage longer.

Combo: Veigar places E on a target or choke point. LeBlanc W–Q–R (mimic Q) inside the cage for massive burst. She uses E to root the target against the cage wall.

Best Scenario: Choke-point fights where the enemy has limited room to navigate around the cage. Bursting down a single target with combined base damage plus Veigar’s scaling.

Enemy Answer: High mobility champions like Ezreal or Zed can dash out of the cage. Tenacity reducing the stun duration enough to flash away.

Failure Risk: Veigar misses the cage wall stun. LeBlanc goes in, but the enemy simply walks out, leaving her overextended with no follow-up damage.

Recovery: LeBlanc must save her W2 return. If the burst fails, she returns to start. Veigar covers the retreat with W meteors on her departure location.

  4. Pyke (Medium Value)

Synergy Mechanism: Pyke and LeBlanc form a "reset chain" duo. Pyke’s Phantom Undertow (E) stuns targets in a line, setting up LeBlanc’s chain. More importantly, Pyke’s ultimate (Death from Below) executes low-health targets, sharing gold and resetting. LeBlanc excels at getting targets to that execute threshold instantly.

Combo: Pyke hooks or stuns with E. LeBlanc bursts the target down to 30% health. Pyke executes with R, resets, and looks for the next target while LeBlanc resets her own cooldowns or repositions.

Best Scenario: Snowballing the game early. The gold sharing accelerates both their item spikes, making the mid-game damage unanswerable.

Enemy Answer: Heavy shielding prevents the execute threshold from being reached. Pyke gets burst down before he can channel his Q or land the ult.

Failure Risk: Both champions are squishy. If they dive together and fail to secure a kill, they have no defensive fallback. They feed double kills.

Recovery: One of them must survive to zone. If Pyke dies, LeBlanc uses her clone to confuse enemies while waiting for respawn timers. If LeBlanc dies, Pyke goes invisible to look for a solo execute on a low enemy.

  5. Ornn (Medium Value)

Synergy Mechanism: Ornn provides the "knockup chain" that makes LeBlanc’s life easy. His Call of the Forge God (R) sends a ram that knocks up enemies twice. LeBlanc can time her E to hit during the knockup, guaranteeing a root on multiple targets.

Combo: Ornn R initiates. LeBlanc waits for the first knockup, then W–E into the cluster. The second knockup from Ornn’s ram ensures her tether completes.

Best Scenario: Late-game team fights where the enemy frontliners try to zone Ornn. LeBlanc ignores the tanks and bursts the squishies caught in Ornn’s ultimate.

Enemy Answer: Flashing the Ornn R entirely. Dispersing instantly to avoid the brittle status.

Failure Risk: Ornn’s R is slow and telegraphed. Smart enemies dodge it, leaving LeBlanc with no setup. If she goes in on a non-stunned target, she gets collapsed on.

Recovery: LeBlanc plays the "bait" game. She sends her clone forward to trick enemies into blowing cooldowns, allowing Ornn to re-engage with E–Q combo.

Strategic Summary

LeBlanc functions best as a "second wave" engager. She needs a teammate to absorb the initial burst of enemy cooldowns or provide the lockdown that makes her skillshots guaranteed. Without a tank or CC support, she has to play like a pure poke mage, using W–Q–W2 out, which lowers her kill pressure significantly. Prioritize teammates who can start fights, shield her from instant CC, or capitalize on the brief windows of vulnerability she creates.
