Engage and Poke Patterns

LeBlanc in Mayhem thrives on making opponents afraid to step forward. You do not need to all-in to be effective. Use Distortion (W) to clear the wave and threaten the enemy backline simultaneously. If you hit the wave and a champion with the same cast, you maintain pressure without committing. Look for Mimic Distortion (RW) when the enemy clumps near their tower or during extended team fights. The area-of-effect damage forces them to scatter, creating openings for your team to collapse.

Chain (E) is your primary kill tool, but in Mayhem's chaotic environment, landing it at max range is difficult. Start engagements with W to close the gap, then point-blank E to guarantee the tether. Follow immediately with Sigil of Malice (Q) to proc the mark. If they flash or dash, save your return W activation for a moment. Let them burn their escape, then snap back to safety. This "tap and go" pattern keeps your health high while chipping away at theirs.

Narrow-Lane Spacing

The single lane forces fights into tight corridors. This benefits you more than most mages because your W allows you to bypass the frontline. Do not fight in the minion ball if you can avoid it. Position on the fringes. When the enemy team pushes, use the side edges of the lane to set up flanks. A Mimic W from an unexpected angle often hits three or four enemies who were focused on your frontline.

Respect the brush control. If the enemy team occupies both side bushes, your engage range drops significantly. Clear vision or force them out with W pokes before you look for a pick. Never stand directly behind your minions. Mayhem augments often grant splash damage or piercing effects. Standing in the wave means you eat every skillshot aimed at your creeps. Hover just to the side, ready to dash forward or backward.

Snowball Timing

Snowball is a bait tool for LeBlanc, not just a gap closer. Mark a target, wait for them to react, then decide. If they turn to fight, dash in, Q-W-E for quick damage, and immediately W back to your start point. If they run, let the mark expire. Do not force the fly-in if they have hard crowd control ready. Snowball into a stun is a dead LeBlanc.

The best Snowball window occurs right after an enemy burns their major cooldown. Watch for key abilities like hooks, stuns, or large burst spells. Once you see that animation, Snowball in. Your burst window is small. If you hesitate after the mark lands, they will reposition and punish you. Use Snowball to start the fight, but use your W to end your involvement on your terms.

Target Priority

Ignore the tanks. Your job is to delete the damage dealers and leave. In Mayhem, bruisers often have high sustain and damage reduction. Fighting them is a waste of your cooldowns. Look for the enemy ADC or the squishy mage in the back. If they have a healer or enchanter, they are your primary target. Killing the support first often guarantees the rest of the fight.

Sometimes the priority target is simply the one who is out of position. If an enemy steps up to poke, punish them instantly. Do not wait for the "perfect" target. A quick kill on a frontliner is better than a failed attempt on a backliner who is playing safe. Use your mobility to access the backline, but do not dive deep if your team cannot follow. Isolated kills are worthless if you die immediately after.

Augment Trigger Windows

Many LeBlanc augments trigger on ability cast or damage dealt. You want to proc these as often as possible without overcommitting. Use Q on cooldown during the poke phase. The sigil application counts as a spell hit for many augment effects. If you have an augment that grants speed or damage on spell hit, weave auto-attacks between Q and W when safe.

For execution-based augments, save your Mimic for low-health targets. Do not open with RW if the enemy is full health. Poke them down with standard abilities first. Once they drop below the execution threshold, unleash the full combo. Mimic Q into a chain is often enough to finish a fleeing enemy. Trigger windows are about patience. Wait for the health bar to align with your burst damage.

Push and Pull Rhythm

LeBlanc is an excellent pusher in Mayhem because W clears ranged minions instantly. Push the wave hard early to force the enemy under their tower. This denies them farm and sets up dive opportunities. However, do not perma-push. If you stay under their tower too long, you become vulnerable to ganks from their fountain or long-range poke.

After a successful pick, reset the wave. Clear the remaining minions and recall or heal. Do not siege indefinitely. Your damage falls off if you stay at low mana or health. Pull back, let them push to your side, then look for the next engage. This rhythm of push, kill, reset keeps the pressure on them while minimizing your risk.

Dive Timing

Diving in Mayhem is risky because tower aggro is faster and damage is higher. Only dive when you have a clear exit plan. W in, burst, W out before the second tower shot connects. If you have Mimic up, you can W in, RW for extra damage, then W back. This gives you two damage rotations and a safe escape.

Never dive alone unless the target is one hit from death. Call your team. Let the tank take the first tower shots. You go in after the aggro is established. If the dive goes wrong, do not chase. Tower diving is about calculated aggression. If you miss your chain or the target survives your burst, leave immediately. Tower shots will kill you faster than the enemy champion will.

Behind-State Damage Control

When your team falls behind, LeBlanc becomes a disruption tool rather than an assassin. Stop trying to one-shot people. You likely lack the damage or the gold. Instead, focus on peeling for your carry. Use E to stop divers. Chain the enemy assassin or bruiser who jumps on your ADC. Your crowd control is more valuable than your damage in this state.

Look for catch-out opportunities in the side lanes or near objectives. Even when behind, your full combo kills a squishy target who wanders alone. Play vision. Wait in bushes. Patience is your only weapon when underfarmed. Do not group with your team in the open. You will get poked down and forced to recall. Hide, wait for the engage, then clean up the low-health enemies after the initial burst.

Counter-Engage and Escape

LeBlanc is one of the hardest champions to catch, but only if you save an escape tool. Never use both W and RW to go in unless you are guaranteed a kill and a reset, or if the fight is clearly won. Always keep one Distortion available for emergency exits. If the enemy engages on you, W away immediately. Do not try to trade back. Survival is priority one.

Your Passive creates a clone when you drop low. Use this to confuse. Run in one direction, then instantly change path when the clone appears. Many players will waste cooldowns on the clone. If you are about to die, run toward your tower or team. The clone often draws aggro, buying you seconds. In Mayhem, where damage is high, those seconds are often the difference between death and a recall.
